День добрый!
Интересует вопрос - работает по умолчанию ли связка
postfix + cyrus + mysql + Web-Cyradm как это прописано
в /usr/share/doc/web-cyradm-0.5.4/README.ALT?
Или надо пересобирать пакет cyrus-sasl2?
А то начинаю брать сомнения в противоречивости документаций.
Так, в README.ALT сказано:

Cyrus-IMAP:

create 'cyrus'-user in sasldb:
# saslpasswd2 cyrus
run sasldblistusers2 for list users:
# sasldblistusers2
cyrus@host: userPassword
test connection:
su - cyrus -s /bin/bash

Password:
localhost.localdomain>
+ see doc/html/cyrus-config.html
----------------------------------------------------
Тест не проходит. Начинаем читать doc/html/cyrus-config.html.
В разделе про настройку postfix упоминается следующее:

You also need to create the file /usr/local/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf with the
following contents:
pwcheck_method: saslauthd

Но если посмотреть механизмы аутентификации в saslauthd для cyrus-sasl2, то
оказывается, что он собран со следующей поддержкой без всякого saslauthd:
authentication mechanisms: getpwent kerberos5 pam rimap shadow ldap
Установлены пакеты:
cyrus-imapd-utils-2.2.13-alt2
postfix-cyrus-2.3.11-alt1
cyrus-imapd-2.2.13-alt2
cyrus-sasl2-2.1.22-alt2
postfix-2.3.11-alt1
web-cyradm-0.5.4-alt2

Не понял, saslauthd собран без saslauthd?
