Переходите на cifsmount.

Победил я проблемку свою.
Во-первых более корректно, наверное, в этом случае
использовать smbmount вместо mount, а во-вторых,
опять же наверно, надо владельца на новую точку
входа обьявит -u ... или группу -w ...
Но буквы почему то все равно не русские... :-)

А в /etc/samba/smb.conf есть что-то типа нижеследующего?
dos charset=cp866 # в твоем случае наверное cp1251
unix charset=utf8
display charset=locale
И теперь iocharset и codepage не обязательно указывать
