Доброго времени суток сообщество!
Недавно понадобился dosemu.
Установил его через Synaptic (ALT М2.4).
После установки кардинальным образом поменялось меню в KDE.
Многие пункты исчезли и стали не доступными.
Это же произошло и у других пользователей.
Подскажите как поправить ситуацию и вернуть на место прежнее
положение вещей.
Понимаю, что можно откатится назад и деинсталировать dosemu,
но может есть другой путь.
Т.е. откуда можно взять используемые по умолчанию настройки KDE?

Похоже Ваш рецепт сразу начал действовать как только
ответ-письмо пришло по почте.
Вы не поверите, я снова попробовал установить dosemu
и в этот раз всё обошлось благополучно без update-menus

Главное - никогда от пользователя.

Просто при установке/обновлении выполняется update-menus (правда
не всегда, что вы и получили в первом случае).
dosemu тут ни при чём.
