Есть неплохие howto на эту тему. А если кратко 1 - зеркалирование
(параллельная запись одинаковых данных на все диски), 0 - объединение
дисков в общее пространство (запись идёт одновременно на все диски,
отсюда прирост в скорости). Есть и другие "цифры", но их не использую.
