Всем трям ;)
обновил таки рабочий сервер с RH7.3 до M2.2 пока, основные грабли
выпрямил, кроме ядерных - мать Abit BX133-RAID, диски висят на контроллере
как hde,hdg, софтрейд рулит.
Установил дро из updates 2.4.20-alt17, дык оно диски перебрасывает на
hd[ae] и ессно в панику падает. Указание append=" ide=reverse" ничего не
меняет. На интеловском контроллере ничего не висит, но иногда сидюк
подвешиваю, так что править fstab+raidtab+mkinitrd не предлагать.
Есть мысли как побороть?

Использованием LABEL=/ вместо /dev/hd* в /etc/fstab ?
(эээ... только, кажется, это уже позже ALM2.2 стало
поддерживаться, но проверить можно)

проверил. Не катит. Ибо mkinitrd не включает raid в ramdisk, ну эт фигня,
но ить raidtab не будешь переписывать...
Этот вариант вообще не прошёл - написал LI - и всё. Стрнно. В лило.конф
raid-extra-boot=auto и root=/dev/md0 указаны были.

Что-то подсказывает, что хорошо бы на 2.4 или х-бы попробовать
отнести mkinitrd из Compact 2.3 на 2.2 -- там он уже куда более
работоспособный по части рейдов...

Эээ... а почему бы и нет? Всё равно что надо, в суперблоки
пишется.
