С POP3? Тогда либо KMail использует UIDL, либо реализация POP3 на сервере
не соответствует RFC1939 (STD0053). В RFC1939 записано, что сообщения,
помеченные для удаления командой DELE, удаляются только после получения
сервером команды QUIT (т.е. при нормальном закрытии соединения). Если
соединение закрывается без выдачи команды QUIT (например, при обрыве
связи), сообщения не удаляются. Однако существуют реализации POP3,
которые удаляют сообщения немедленно, не дожидаясь QUIT (либо выполняют
удаление помеченных сообщений при любом закрытии соединения, независимо от
получения QUIT).
