Вопрос простой: Как или откуда установить данную весчь в Master 2.2?

apt-get update
apt-get install cvs
apt-get install cvs-doc
apt-get install cvs-contrib

если нужно CVS-сервер 

apt-get install cvs-pserver

Я делал это. Видимо что-то надо откоментировать в /etc/apt/sources.list.. Я 
откоментировал 
rpm [alt] ftp://ftp.altlinux.com/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus i586 
master
rpm-src [alt] ftp://ftp.altlinux.com/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus i586 
master
Но судя по всему это не то, ибо после этого получил:
apt-get install cvs
Reading Package Lists... Done
Collecting File Provides... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Package cvs has no available version, but exists in the database.
This typically means that the package was mentioned in a dependency and
never uploaded, has been obsoleted or is not available with the contents
of sources.list
E: Package cvs has no installation candidate

хм.. я использую репозиторий апдейтов и самого Master 2.2,  а не Сизиф -- у 
меня все доступно...
что творится в Сизифе -- мне неведомо :)

Это действительно не то, вам нужна другая строка:
rpm [alt] ftp://ftp.altlinux.com/pub/distributions/ALTLinux/Sisyphus i586 classic
(ключевое слово: classic).
