Отвечаю себе сам :)
Победил я комодо. Он не понимает Cyrillic-* символов (и остальных
тоже). Кириллицу понимает только через xmodmap :(
Сделал раскладку для нее (на основе ru-koi-3gr от Ивана Паскаля) и все
заработало. В ActiveState ответили на мое письмо, что нормальным
способом кириллицу завести нельзя.
ЗЫ Теперь у меня 4 раскладки
(Английский/русский/украинский/однобайтный русский). Для xkb это
предел :( Какие есть нормальные переключалки клавиатуры с динамической
подгрузкой keysymbols ? (Вскоре еще одна раскладка понадобится)
