Зачем приватом? Это интересный вопрос.
Сначала делаем так:

Теперь можно отредактировать /home/liz/.fetchmailrc (строки,
касающиеся yandex):
poll pop.yandex.ru with proto POP3 and options no dns
monitor "ppp0"
user "linthong" there with password "пароль" is liz here
options fetchall warnings 300 antispam 571 550 501 554
Находясь на линии, надо запустить fetchmail. Почта с Яндекса
ляжет в /var/spool/mail/liz
Теперь в Сильфиде надо открыть новую учётную запись - локальный
почтовый ящик, в который можно забирать почту из спула.
Мне кажется, должно получиться. Со множеством почтовых адресов
интереснее работать именно так. (Такие же четыре строчки для
pop.mail.ru).
