Привет ,
Почему когда в xmms в диалоге открытия директории для загрузки в плейлист открываю /mnt эта дура начинает по алфавиту mount-ить и cd-rom и floppy... только потом открывает этот каталог... это как-нить лечится (в др. программах такого не замечал)?

Какая такая дура!? ж.р.? :)

Ничего она сама не mountит, если у вас включен autofs обращаетесь
за разъяснением к нему. :)
Если у вас винты остановлены, они в этот момент начинают
запускаться, отсюда задержки.
