Возникла необходимость сделать обычный диск как scsi,
вот отсюда вылез ряд вопросов:
- В связи с тем, что диск плохо детектится :-D линуксом,
(магнитооптика) - grub-у указывается hdb=C,H,S далее
указываю hdd=ide-scsi
Правильно? Воспримет от груба ядро такую последовательность
- Потом, само собой, пишу /etc/modules.conf
options ide-disk ignore=hdd
pre-install sg modprobe ide-disk
pre-install sd_mod modprobe ide-scsi
pre-install ide-scsi modprobe ide-disk
Правильно?
После этого ничего не возникает (ожидается появление /dev/sda...)

За компанию, вопрос по конфигурации hdd
Есть 2 иде порта, на которые нужно навесить:
hdd UDMA100
hdd UDMA66
IDE-MO pio3 (not UDMA)
CDROM-52x pio4-5 (not UDMA?)
Цель - получить максимальное быстродействие
Пока живут так:
1: hdd UDMA100 + IDE-MO
2: hdd UDMA66 + CDROM-52x
не живут вместе hdd UDMA100 + CDROM-52x
Вопросец: сильно ли упадёт быстродействие дисковой подсистемы,
если сделать:
1: hdd UDMA100 + UDMA66
2: IDE-MO + CDROM-52x
Если учесть, что МО используется в качестве флопа (не настолько
часто), а CD-ROM вообще используется исключительно редко?
