Я тоже смотрел в эту сторону, однако после прочтения поста

о том, что после перепрошивки BIOS у народа вообще не загружается ноут
(и на сайте asus'a сказано, что этим нужно заниматься только в
_крайних_ случаях, иначе можно испортить материнку зазря), мне как-то
перехотелось перепрошивать...
P.S. Пока довольствуюсь закомментированными строками в
/lib/udev/write_net_rules + созданным скриптом
/etc/net/ifaces/eth0/ifup-pre.
P.P.S. Ещё как вариант рассматриваю достать батарейку из платы ноута
на длительное время, но здесь тоже не тороплюсь, ибо тоже можно
напортачить :).
