Мне недавно, наоборот, требовалось из IR сделать IT. начитавшись
интернетов, уже собирался перешивать фирмварь. Но все оказалось проще.
Если взять консольные утилиты от ibm для управления этой карточкой, то
эти режимы легко переключаются. Она же позволяет создать raid.
Попробуйте воспользоваться ей.
