Это мало о чём говорит. Мали ли, какой набор пакетов у Вас стоял ?
С какой ветки на какую был dist-upgrade ? Что было в списке удаляемых
пакетов ? Так же, никто не представляет, какие именно сетевые карты
у Вас. Кстати, есть ли файл /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules ?
Каково его содержимое, если он есть ?
