Здравствуйте.
Собрал для своих нужд (ради perl-Collectd, в свою очередь для
collection3 CGI, см. contrib/) очередной бэкпорт collectd-4.x;
до этого долго и успешно работала сборка 4.4.1. Выложил здесь:

_Внимание_ пользователям collectd-3.x: радикально изменился
формат хранения данных, не забудьте хотя бы сделать резервную
копию. Полностью автоматическая миграция не представляется
возможной, в помощь при ручной создан contrib/migrate-3-4.px.
Собственно, из-за этого и не кладу в 4.0/branch.
