А вот адресная книга Thunderbird считает так же как и я.
Да и адресная книга Outlook Express тоже.
Почему же так?
Открываем RFC2256, где описан этот аттрибут, читаем:
5.13. title
This attribute contains the title, such as "Vice President", of a
person in their organizational context. The "personalTitle"
attribute would be used for a person's title independent of their job
function.
( 2.5.4.12 NAME 'title' SUP name )
Так что title в контектсте LDAP -- это именно должность, а не Mr, Mrs и
т.д.
