[Sysadmins] alterator-ulogd & branch4

Всем привет!
Система branch4. Установоил с нуля alterator-ulogd и всё что он за собой 
потянул. Пытаюсь запустить ulogd из /index.scm/chkconfig/ulogd
и получаю:
(ulogd is dead, but stale PID file exists)
однако через service ulogd restart всё прекрасно стартует.
В логах вижу такое:
[root@gw /]# tail -f /var/log/messages | grep ulogd
Apr 16 12:26:09 gw ulogd: ulogd shutdown succeeded
Apr 16 12:26:09 gw ulogd: Wed Apr 16 12:26:09 2008 <5> ulogd.c:774 Changing 
UID / GID
Apr 16 12:26:09 gw ulogd: ulogd startup succeeded
[root@gw /]# 
И это когда альтератор говорит, что не может запустить ulogd.
[root@gw /]# cat /var/log/ulogd/ulogd.log

Правила в файерволе:
[root@gw /]# iptables-save | grep ulog
-A INPUT -j ULOG --ulog-prefix "input" --ulog-cprange 48 --ulog-qthreshold 50
-A FORWARD -j ULOG --ulog-prefix "forward" --ulog-cprange 48 --ulog-qthreshold 
50
-A OUTPUT -j ULOG --ulog-prefix "output" --ulog-cprange 48 --ulog-qthreshold 
50
[root@gw /]#
Что не так делаю?

P.S.: пишу в эту рассылку, ибо не смог определить в какую лучше ... ;)
