Нет, именно mail.examle.com. Не Domain Name, а Fully Qualified.

Прав Постфикс.

А это вот совсем не так. MX-ами, запросто, могут быть server1.examle.com
и server2.examle.com, а mail имеет право быть кем угодно, например, только
pop/imap, или только эмиттер.
