Преимущества Apache 2 во многих случаях гораздо менее заметны, чем его
недостатки. Ветка 1.x будет жить ещё долго, очень долго. И если в MySQL 5
есть объективный смысл (БД без триггеров, ссылочной целостности, и т.д.
это не БД а overbloated csv), то в Apache 2 нетути. По увеличению
производительности всяко больше прока от nginx + fastcgi.
Apache 1.x нужен для "legacy" софта на PHP. Apache 2.x вообще никому не
нужен.
