Именно это я и делаю. В той области, в которой кое-как разбираюсь.

Я делаю CMS-ку, и бесплатно раздаю демопример такой функциональности,
что покупают полную версию только те, кому CMS-ка понравилась
и кто хочет поддержать проект. Плюс оказываю бесплатную
поддержку невзирая, как говорится, на лица. Знаешь, сколько было
покупок полной версии за три года? 10 экземляров при цене 10$. То есть
за три года я "заработал" 100$. Этой суммы впритык хватает только
на оплату хостинга.

CMS-ку я пишу третий год. Три года я даю бесплатную техподдержку
всем без исключения. Объясняю максимально подробно. Смотри форум

Я не решаю за других. Я советую дельные вещи в рамках вопроса
