Универсальные ОС нужны для пользователей, которые знают, что делают.
Устройства тут вторичны (хотя тачскрин без удобной клавиатуры --
под это подходят все виденные, включая iPad -- IMHO почти начисто
определяет потребление, а не созидание).
То есть существенный плюс наличия полноценного операционного
окружения -- как мне кажется, возможность "заточить" итоговый
комплекс под имеющуюся задачу (оператора, медсестры, ...)
разумными усилиями.
