Вопрос суммарных преимуществ/недостатков.
Никакого смысла использовать i586 на сервере я нынче не вижу. А вот на
десктопе у i586 _пока_ в целом преимуществ больше ("оно просто все
работает").
Хотя я уже давно на x86_64, и i586 у меня только на ноутбуке.
