Цирк. Мне в этом смысле IBM порадовала. Когда я 3 раза доводил машинку
попытками suspend'иться до нерабочего состояния, они его принимали в
сервис. А так как сервису было слабо разобраться в происходящем, они
меняли ему мать целиком :)
При этом мои звонки бимерам закончились тем, что "R50p официально не
поддерживается с Linux, но если купить расширеный контракт на поддержку,
то они разберутся что там у меня не так". После третьего возврата мне
надоело, и я забросил эксперименты.
Но позиция не парить мозг в гарантийке мне у IBM очень нравится. Уже одно
это окупает эти железяки.
/me представил себе что было бы, если бы я 3 раза заменил мамку за свой
счет.
Были и случаи ещё когда они меня совершенно спокойно могли отправить в
платный ремонт, но предпочли отремонтировать нахаляву.
А Compaq у меня в блеклисте уже лет десять как. Из-за паталогического
желания сделать свое оборудование несовместимым ни с чем и ни с кем.
