А вот это зря. Лучше установите снова 3.0 и не ведитесь на
"свежие версии", сизиф в ближайшее время будет только сильнее
разломан по ряду веских объективных причин (см. архив devel@,
если интересно -- по "gcc-4.1").

Это он просто текстовым стал -- design-bootloader куда-то
отлетел.
PS: если очень хочется именно эту систему оживить -- надо LiveCD,
смонтировать корень в /mnt, сделать chroot /mnt и там lilo; потом
exit и reboot.
