Т.к. на свежих ядрах нет нвидиевских драйверов, переключился на nouveau.
Вроде бы все работает, но через 5 минут после старта сессии plasmashell
начинает потреблять 60-100% одного ядра. Можно его прибить, процесс
перезапустится, на 5 минут хватит, потом снова впустую греет процессор.
Откат ядра и драйверов все лечит. Может, конечно, причина именно в ядре.
Вдруг кому-то эта информация пригодится.
