Какой чипсет у матери?
У меня было, что не грузился автоматом idecd и на канале висел idegeneric,
а он, увы, не видел сдромов.
Точные названия модулей не помню, сам сейчас в виндах.
Попробуйте сделать lsmod >file1.txt. потом lilo, потом lsmod >file2.txt
Мне кажется, Lilo грузит какой-то (какие-то) модули, что и позволяет
hotplug'y найти cd.
Кстати, что скажут lsmod | grep ide, lsmod | grep atapi, lsmod | grep cd ?
