После инсталляции 2.4.18-alt4 в /var/log/messages непрерывно сыплются
такие вот сообщения:
Mar 29 04:06:02 bob kernel: svc: bad direction 260243521, dropping
request
Mar 29 04:06:02 bob kernel: svc: short len 4, dropping request
Mar 29 04:06:00 bob syslogd: syslogd shutdown succeeded
Mar 29 04:06:03 bob kernel: svc: bad direction 260309044, dropping
request
Mar 29 04:06:03 bob kernel: svc: short len 4, dropping request
Mar 29 04:06:05 bob last message repeated 2 times
После выключения nfslock, nfs, portmap
и _ребута_ сообщения пропали.
Похоже на багу, не находите?

Хотелось бы взглянуть на вывод rpm -q nfs-clients nfs-server portmap
и /sbin/chkconfig --list
