В кдешное (и любое другое меню) оно попадает вовсе не благодаря
этим 20ти мегам. Решение раз и навсегда - собирать в чруте,
где стоит только необходимое, под необходимым понимается
список, не обязательно совпадающий с тем, что нагенерил
buildreq в основательно захламленном окружении.
Для этого в сизифе есть по крайней мере один инструмент
(возможно, их два :) - apt-get install sandman.
