Вот и дошли до истины.
Пока grub2 не научиться автоматом ставится и конфигуриться (или
конвертить конфиги grub) нельзя, чтобы он сносил grub.
Но я думаю это пока временные трудности.
Если АЛТ собирается Grub2 сделать опять основным загрузчиком, то надо
научить его гарантированно ставиться и конфигуриться.
Хотя на моем примере оказалось, что grub-install не всегда прокатывает.
