А интересно если на gnome-terminal повесить фича-реквест, чтобы в
настройке профиля был выбор кодировки, что-то измениться?
Логично ведь, что на конкретной удаленной машине вполне конкретная
кодировка? Надоело просто открывать вкладку подключения к удаленной
машине и лезть менять кодировку.
