Имеется GeForce 8600 GT. С виду все работает, direct rendering = yes,
opengl-приложения запускаются, и даже по 100 fps показывают. Но!
OpenGL-графика тормозит! Например, в ppracer на заставке идет снег, и
два раза в секунду он замирает, gears'ы показывают 5000 fps, в Квейк
бегать невозможно, ибо ощущения, что 20фпс и все идет рывками, хотя
индикатор быстро-быстро скачет 80-160. Оказалась тут на соседнем разделе
какая-то бета 4.1, загрузился туда: ничего не тормозит, gears крутят
10000fps. В той бете 169 версия драйверов. Конфиги иксов идентичные.
Такое поведение уже давно, может пол-года, да все внимание не обращал,
ибо 3d никакое не запускал.
Это откуда такая регрессия? :(
