Позавчера делал установку по такому пути:
поставил Compact по умолчанию (С KDE).
сделал dist-upgrade до Sisyphus
поставил ядро + модули из sisyphus
добавил туда pmount + поставил всё, что было вынесено при dist-upgrade
(xine-ui, amarok)
сделал
chkconfig haldaemon reset
chkconfig powersaved reset
chkconfig udevd reset
После перезагрузки всё заработало.
Никаких конфигов нигде не правил.
