Есть какой-то механизм для удаления из репозитория программ, которые
давно перестали работать, апстрим которых помер и т.п.?
Например, понадобилось записать скринкаст. Быстрый поиск показал, что у
нас есть аж несколько программ для такого дела. Среди которых оказалась
kazam. Записать в ней ничего не удалось, звук перестает писаться через
пару секунд, видео если и пишется, то совершенно непонятно как, закрыть
программу получилось только через kill -9, при этом один раз понадобился
reset, так как машина перестала отзываться.
Апстрим не подает признаков жизни с 2014 года, баг про звук, например,
висит https://bugs.launchpad.net/kazam/+bug/1168710 со статусом new уже
несколько лет. По всей видимости, проект мертв.
Зачем такая программа у нас в репозитории? Место занимает, индексы
наполняет, пользователя вводит в заблуждение, но работать толком не
может, и врядли сможет в будущем. Нужен какой-то список "умерших"
программ, которые перестают работать в новом окружении, и которые надо
списывать на пенсию?
