You mean "LIBGL_DRIVERS_DIR=3Dxxxx startx" or some X's interneal setting= s=20 like /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc ? I think there to be folder like /etc/X11/xinit.d for server-related=20 tuning scripts: /etc/X11/xserverinit.d > - =EE=C5 =D2=C1=C2=CF=D4=C1=C5=D4 service dm, =D0=CF=CB=C1 =CE=C5 =CB=CF= =D7=D9=D2=D1=CC.=20 GDM ? Fix: sudo ln -s /usr/bin/Xorg /usr/X11R6/bin/X Guess this symlink is to be included into Xorg rpm (or perhaps use=20 alternatives? ) Drivers: on my box there are some files in obsolete folder: > ls -R /usr/X11R6/lib/modules > /usr/X11R6/lib/modules: > dri drivers extensions input >=20 > /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/dri: >=20 > /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers: >=20 > /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions: > libvnc.so >=20 > /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/input: > synaptics_drv.o > rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/lib/drv.d/i810 > 855resolution-0.4-alt2 > > rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/input/synaptics_drv.o > synaptics-0.14.4-alt1 > > rpm -qf /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libvnc.so > xorg-x11-xvnc-6.9.0-alt2 I guess ether all those folders should be referenced in=20 /etc/ld.conf.d/xorg6.9-compatibility or some script in=20 /etc/X11/xserverinit.d is to check that all those files do have symlinks = in /usr/X/lib/..... BTW, synaptic is my notebook's touchpad, hence core pointer device,=20 hence without manually symlinking it X server just did not started! Perhaps i'd better use evdev ? But all my xorg.conf files (manually=20 edited, backup and auto-generated) do not run this module. Pity. Maybe that is the reason that my USB mouse had lost it's wheel ?
