должны потому что они есть в меню КДЕ, в которое под рутом ходить
запрещено. Хоть бы спросили пароль рута.

ну и естественно, нифига из меню не запустится. но даже если бы
/usr/sbin/alterator-standalone запустилось, он будет от простого юзера
работать.
