Если настройки были от пользователя, то переустанавливать программу
как раз не надо. Нужно удалить конфиг в домашнем каталоге. Он может
быть в некоторых местах, например
~/.programname.rc
~/.programname.rc/file
~/.kde/share/apps/programname/files
