Hi,
ситуация нарисовалась.
hda3 - ext3, смонтирован как /.
hda8 - ntfs с win2000 на борту
#grub
root (hd0,2)
setup (hd0)
quit
#reboot
После запуска win2000 эта <beep> проявляет недюжинный интелект и
меняет id у hda3 с 0x83 на 0x93(Amoeba). grub такого не понимает
и вываливается на stage1_5. Повторяемо, с ext2 не проверял, но,
думаю, тоже самое. Пришлось загрузиться с cdrom, поменять id на
0x83 и перенести / на hda6. w2k русская про без патчей.

Офигеть. А в их KB ничего внятного нет по 0x83 0x93?

А черт их знает. Я вчера это снова обнаружил, но разделы уже
монтируются с fstab, так что по барабану, только fdisk-ом и
увидел.
