Добрый день, уважаемое сообщество!
Прошу, подскажите, куда смотреть...
После вчерашнего обновления из Сизифа XFree86 и KDE, получаю:
$/usr/bin/startkde
xsetroot: unable to open dysplay ''
ksplash: cannot connect to X server
kdeinit: Aborting. $DYSPLAY in no set.
Warning: connect() faild: : No such file or directory
ksmserver: cannot connect to X server
Error: Can't open display:
Warning: connect() faild: : No such file or directory
Error: Can't contact kdeinit!
Вот и все.
WindowMaker запускается и работает. Хм...
Помогите, люди добрые.

Прикольно.. Прямо так DYSPLAY вместо DISPLAY причем в неск. местах?

Может быть, проблема не в обновлении?
Если Вы так из консоли запускаете, то вряд ли должно работать. X-сервер-то
не запущен.
$ startx KDE
$ startx WindowMaker?
