Действительно.

Пересобрать с отладочной информацией (-g -O0), возможно, также с
--enable-debug (если есть). Можете погонять под valgrind-ом -- иногда
помогает быстрее разобраться с проблемой.

%def_enable debug
в любом случае нужно в спеке выставить (или передать rpmbuild'у при сборке),
иначе rpmbuild пострипает debug-info

под valgrind'ом намного быстрее помогает, если исследуется что-то с
debug-info внутри
