Я даже не уверен, что тут инсталлер виноват. Я выставлял через
hostnamectl и если верить разработчикам systemd см.

должно хватить присутствия myhostname в /etc/nsswitch.conf. У меня там
hosts: files dns myhostname
и не работает. Видимо, нужно баг на наш systemd вешать.
