Здравствуйте.
Подскажите, плиз, как решить такую траблу. Обновился до сизифуса на
ноуте, теперь иксы работают в 256-цветном режиме, хотя в xorg.conf
прописано:

"Modes" дописал сам, до этого не были указаны. В Xorg.0.log много чего
пишет по этому поводу, но мне что-то пока непонятно это, приложу к
письму... мне кажется вообще, что проблема в дровах на монитор, т.к.
через "центр управления системой" в "обнаруженных устройствах" стоит
Monitor 1024x768 (по дефолту должно быть по идее 1280x800), а в
"текущих настройках" в графе "монитор" - пусто, если кликнуть на
"другие производители" - будет только вариант "автоматически
определённый", но от выбора его ничего не меняется. Если там же
выставить нужные параметры и нажать "проверить" - то гаснет монитор.
Помогит плиз, подскажите направление куда копать.
P.S. Ноут - acer aspire 5000, видюха от SiS.
