Это я к тому, что вопрос о переходе на grub/x86_64 поднимался более
года назад, а то и раньше и был заблокирован именно рассуждениями о
мифической невозможности что-то делать. В то время как
RHEL/SLES/Debian давно и успешно используют grub/x86_64. Да, он собран
не так, как хочется, но устраивать из-за этого остановку всей
деятельности просто неправильно.
