Нарвался на высокий LA (в моём случае == 4). LA рос при запуске gajim.
При этом загрузка cpu и диска практически равна 0. Гугление привело на
следующее:

Ну я бы взял pidgin или psi-plus в качестве объезда...

pidgin смотрел... оно тормозное какое-то до жути.. и ещё оставляет кучу
артефактов в трее.. ещё были какие-то нарекания..
Но не помню уже какие. В общем из всего множества меня устроили pidgin и
tkabber (и то в последнем с ведением длинного хистрои болячки)
