Привет!
Нахожусь в творческом отпуске (от мейнтейнерства :) ) и взялся вот за
настройку на одном компьютере wi-fi. Карта Trendnet, но чипсет
Реалтековский, 8192S Wifi USB NIC. Пробовал разные варианты: и
ndiswrapper (с драйвером для WinXP, для W2K только ещё не пробовал), и
r8192u_usb, и даже собрал с сайта Realtek
(http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=21&PFid=48&Level=5&Conn=4&ProdID=231&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false&Downloads=true
) модуль ядра.
В случае с r8192u_usb и собранным модулем требуется фирмварь, но не
/lib/firmware/RTL8192SE, а /lib/firmware/RTL8192SU, которого у нас
нет, и где взять - не знаю, а где знаю (в репозитории debian), там оно
лежит в директории non-free, что настораживает. Но и это попробовал.
Ничего не помогает. Т.е. избавился от всей ругани в dmesg, интерфейс
wlan0 живой (ifup wlan0 проходит без ругани), iwconfig wlan0 выдаёт
многострочную информацию, но вот iwlist wlan0 scan не видит ничего: ни
роутеры у соседей, ни рядом стоящего и настроенного ноута.
Куда копать, не знаю, перерыл кучу форумов, перепробовал всё, что там
советуют, кроме попробовать драйвер для w2k с ndiswrapper, всё без толку.
Прошу помощи зала.
PS. Ядра самые новые из серии std-def и un-def (за исключением того,
что в un-def нет ndiswrapper).
