Всем доброго времени суток!
Наткнулся на следующую неприятную вещь: стоит октябрьский сизиф, пнужды
в полном обновлении нет, т.к. всё, что мне надо, работает. Прочитал про
сборку в сизиф chromium, решил взглянуть на это дело. При установке он
обновил xulrunner. После чего стал 1) глючить thunderbird 2) перестал
запускаться firefox, причём безсимптомно: просто ничего не пишет, если
запустить из консоли и завершается. Я как-то напарывался на подобное,
поэтому решил заодно обновить лису и птичку. Обновил. Получил: firefox
при запуске стал ругаться на то, что стоит старый sqlite, а thunderbird
вообще открывать пустое окно вместо нормального интерфейса. В результате
дальнейших размышлений я обновил thinderbird-ru и то ли libsqlite3, то
ли libmozsqlite3 -- и, о чудо! -- всё заработало. Спрашивается, если
дело было в несоответствиях версий программ и библиотек, почему это не
отслеживается на уровне пакетов?

P.S. А ещё много говорится, что якобы с переходом на сборку через git
несоответствия версий пакетов исключаются автоматически... а результат,
что называется -- на лице!
