Думаю, что вы правы. Там скорее всего какие-нибудь локи, fifo, ссылки
болтаются после аварии,
отчего так хреново udevd с ldap и взаимодействует.
Евгений Остапец дал решение. Спасибо ему.
В nss_ldap.conf и pam_ldap.conf нужна строчка:
bind_policy soft
