Из fstab убраны описания "нестатических" девайсов (cdrom, fdd, usb, etc...)
проверено наличие пакетов hal, hotplug, pmount
из кде (у меня лично не хватало) kdeaddons, kdemultimedia (ругался на
невозможность пройти по ссылке media:/)
собсно и все...
да, вот еще: в настройках рабочего стола сказал показывать значки устройств.
в результате втыкания флешки - сек через 5 появляется значок на десктопе.
единственное непонятное - если на значке правой кнопкой мыши ткнуть и
выбрать "безопасно извлечь" - то флешка отмонтируется и значок исчезает
:( и для того чтоб снова подмонтировать - не нашел ничего другого как
вытащить её и заново воткнуть...
