Доброго времени суток.
Замечен такой глюк, при копирования с примонтированного самбавского
ресурса, большого количества файлов с длинными вложениями в mc, виснет
клиент.
Помогает только
umount -l /mnt/sambaresurse
mount -a
Конфиги
[raf@raf VNC4]$ cat /etc/fstab
............................
//server/res /mnt/sambaresurse smbfs
username=user,password=passwd,rw,iocharset=cp1251,fmask=0666,dmask=0777,auto
0 0
[raf@raf VNC4]$ rpm -qa | grep samba

Это проблема smbfs, который чем далее, тем более становится
неподдерживаемым. По факту, его уже не поддерживают в ядре года два. Так
что надо переходить на использование cifs.ko. К сожалению, Вы не
указали, какое у вас ядро.
Вы можете, в принципе, сами собрать себе последний (1.45) cifs.ko с
http://linux-cifs.samba.org/
2vsu: по-хорошему, надо бы включить его (из git) в текущее сизифовское
ядро и убрать оттуда smbfs.
