Вот и мне как-то при очередном "точечном" обновлении показалось, что у
xpdf не всё хорошо с внутрипакетными зависимостями. Иначе говоря, пакеты
xpdf-* можно смешивать любых версий и релизов, а полное обновление
произойдёт только по dist-upgrade. Неаккуратненько как-то - вот держак
от грабель в конце концов и выстрелил :-\
