О, моя проблема в части "не показывает 2/3 установленных программ".
Покажите вывод команды
$ find /usr/share -name '*.desktop' -print0|xargs -0 grep Exec=\"
У меня виновником пропадания существенной части меню (начиная с "Сеть" /
"Почта" и далее по файлу /etc/X11/icewm/menu) оказался
/usr/share/applications/mozilla-alt-mail.desktop с его
Exec="mozilla -mail"
превратившимся в /etc/X11/icewm/menu
prog "Mozilla Mail" - "mozilla
Начиная с вот этой злощастной незакрытой кавычки меню и не показывалось :-(
Сейчас pipermail скушает это письмо, и я оформлю баг.
